Institute of Open and Distance Education – IEDA Claimed

The Institute for Open and Distance Education – IEDA, is a public institution created by Decree 58/2016 of October 12th, endowed with technical and administrative autonomy, overseen in the area of Education by the Minister of Education and in the financial area by the Minister of Economy and Finance. It was created after the extinction of the Institute for Teacher Improvement (IAP) with the Department of Distance Education (DED); organic units formerly attached to the Ministry of Education (1996-2004).
